2017 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 launched at Rs. 96,453, comes with BS IV compliance

After the popular Bajaj Pulsar NS200 was pulled out of the road, the company promised that the new version of the street fighter naked motorcycle would come with enhanced styling and body graphics. And here it comes. After being spotted on several occasions, Bajaj Auto has now silently put the 2017 version of the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 on sale at an exclusive showroom price of Rs. 96,453 in Delhi.

Even though the company promised a revised motorcycle, the new Bajaj Pulsar NS200 gets the same engine that we had seen in the earlier edition. The new Pulsar naked street motorcycle is powered by the same liquid cooled, single cylinder, four stroke engine engine with 199.5cc displacement. This engine is capable of making a huge power of 23.52 bhp at 9,500 revs per minute and a maximum torque of 18.3 bhp at 8,000 revs per minute. This power figures are mated with a 6-speed gearbox. But unlike the models made for export purpose, the on sale NS200 does not get fuel injection even as an option.

Aesthetically, the new Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is built on the same platform as it was built earlier. But the factor that has attracted eyes is the dual tone colour shades which enhanced the butch look of the naked motorcycle further. Despite getting the same muscular fuel tank, the new paint job makes it look for more deadly and race-ready. Other elements too are borrowed from the earlier version of the motorcycle like split seats, sleek rear section and the same 17-inch alloy wheels which are covered with MRF tyres. An AHO (automatic headlamps on) function makes its way to the newer version with the double stand being offered as an option only.

Being priced at around the mid-nineties, the new Bajaj Pulsar NS200 will give a tough fight to the new players in this segment, the Yamaha FZ25 and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. Sadly, it misses the duties of ABS (anti-lock braking system) that its contemporary arch-rival, the all new TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, gets as standard.

Interestingly, the new Bajaj Pulsar NS200 gets BS IV emission norm compliant engine, which turns out to be the only mechanical upgrade.
