Chinese smartphone maker Huawei's sub-brand Honor is said to be working on a toned-down version of its Honor 8. The company will likely launch the Honor 8 'Lite' at the upcoming MWC 2017 conference.
In a few leaked renders, spotted by leakster Roland Quandt of WinFuture.de website, the smartphone is seen in plastic and clear cases. It is expected to come in Blue, Black, Gold and White colour options.
The Honor 8 Lite is expected to pack a microUSB 2.0 port instead of the newer USB Type-C slot. It's expected to come with a 5.2-inch Full HD display and will be powered by an octa-core Kirin 655 SoC, paired with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Likely to be backed by a 3,000mAh battery, the Honor 8 Lite will run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. Interestingly, the Honor 8 Lite is almost exactly the same in appearance as the Honor 8, except the fact that it comes with a single rear camera.
